The home management believes and ensures that the provision of a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet for clients is of vital importance and the approach to nutrition is based upon quality and choice.
All meals are prepared using daily fresh ingredients and are planned around what our clients like to eat. Special diets can be catered for to accommodate religious or health requirements.
With respect to food prepared within the home, or brought into the home by relatives or friends, we have a duty to ensure that all staff and clients are kept as safe as possible from food poisoning and related food associated illnesses and therefore adopt a high standard of food hygiene and food preparation within the home.
The home fully complies with standard 38 - with respect to safe working practices of the National Minimum Standards for Care Homes for older people. This relates to the degree to which the registered manager ensures that clients and staff are protected from food poisoning and that the home maintains high food hygiene standards in line with the Food Standards Agency.
