
In order to meet the individual needs of clients the home seeks to provide stimulating and rewarding experiences which include; active minds (armchairobics) regular visits by professional musicians, musical sing along, Salvation Army Brass, DVD films. There is a visiting library and any individuals with sight impairment can receive talking books and news from Worcester library.
Two large Blu-Ray Wide Screen television systems have been recently installed in both lounges for normal viewing, DVD films or alternatively family album sessions
Clients who suffer with dementia will be prompted to take part in supervised activities which can include bingo, table top games, exercise to music supervised walks by staff or relatives in a secure environment and the home has a 'locked door' policy. Arrangements are made for clients to participate in holy communion within the home on a regular basis with local ministers. The home encourages family members, visitors and advocates to take individuals out whenever possible to assist in maintaining links with the outside community.
Whilst some of the rooms have a private telephone line phone calls can be made or taken in private and daily post and papers are distributed
The home believes that meeting friends and maintaining family contacts should be a pleasurable experience and an essential requirement towards maintaining fulfillment and contact with the outside community.
